Includes professional support during labor and childbirth, with a skilled healthcare provider assessing the safest mode of delivery and monitoring vital signs. Potentional risk pregnancy are early detected to be transferred to level 4 hospitals for SC in Ortum or Kapenguria.

For newborns we provide immediate care at birth (delayed cord clamping, thorough drying, assessment of breathing, skin-to-skin contact, early initiation of breastfeeding), thermal care, resuscitation when needed,support for breast milk feeding, nurturing care, infection prevention, recognition and response to danger signs, timely and safe referral when needed.
